A design thinking course in high school can be a valuable experience for students who are interested in developing their problem-solving and creative skills. Prep- Information Technologies Course

In this course, students will benefit from information technology resources in collecting, recording, evaluating, transferring, analyzing and interpreting information. Google Applications will be used to prepare documents and presentations, Apple Applications and web based tools will be use for visual and video editing projects. Our students will learn the logic of algorithms in order to have basic knowledge of programming, and code will be written in Python. Our students will also develop models with 3D design applications. They will learn current concepts and technologies about Society 5.0. In this context, interdiscipliner projects will be developed with Turkish, English, Science and Mathematics departments during the course. The course will also examine the ways of accessing valid and reliable information, the ethical consequences of online behavior on internet ethics and digital citizenship, and in this context, personal rights and moral responsibilities will be discussed.

This unit focuses on the importance of saving rainwater, and offers a range of interdisciplinary activities to enhance students' understanding of the topic. These activities include the use of virtual reality technology, which allows students to experience being inside a real cistern, and the use of 3D design programs to create effective rainwater saving systems. These activities can be completed individually or in teams, providing students with the opportunity to express their thoughts and emotions through their work. By engaging in these activities, students will not only learn about the benefits of saving rainwater, but also develop important skills in technology and collaboration. Furthermore, this unit promotes environmental awareness and encourages students to take action in preserving our natural resources.
