As the innovative Educational Technology Coordinator for seven SEV schools, Ms. Zorba is redefining education with her cutting-edge tech strategies. Her visionary leadership empowers teachers to seamlessly blend technology into their classrooms, transforming learning into a thrilling, interactive experience. A true tech enthusiast, Ms. Zorba is on a mission to revolutionize how students learn and excel, paving the way for a future where education knows no bounds.
As an experienced educator with a passion for technology and innovation in education, with over 15 years of teaching experience with a Masters degree, Busra Zorba specializes in a variety of subjects including IB Computer Science, AP Computer Science, Design Thinking, Computational Thinking, Agile Project Management, Web Design, Graphic Design, and Programming in Python, C, and Java.
She also worked on an innovation team with students, teaching IB Computer Science, Design Thinking, and Innovation Management courses. I am responsible for managing student clubs coding and game design competitions, DesignFest, and TechnovationGirls. These events provide students with an opportunity to showcase their skills, learn from their peers, and have fun while doing so.
Currently, she is working in the position of Educational Technology Coordinator at the SEV– Health and Education Foundation(SEV).
SEV was established by graduates of Üsküdar Amerikan Lisesi / Üsküdar American Academy American Collegiate Institute (ACI) / Özel Ä°zmir Amerikan Koleji , Tarsus American College, and Talas American American Middle School. Building on a history that began with the American Board’s arrival to Turkey in 1820, SEV oversees Üsküdar American Academy, American Collegiate Institute, Tarsus American College, SEV American College - Özel SEV Lisesi , Özel SEV Okulları, Özel Ä°zmir SEV Ä°lköÄŸretim Kurumları , ÖZEL TARSUS SEV Ä°LKÖÄžRETÄ°M KURUMLARI , SEV Publishing Education (Redhouse)
SEV is a large but close-knit family, including 1,300 teachers and staff, over 5,000 students, 10,000 parents, and 20,000 alumni. In my role, I will be helping to develop the technology and innovative competencies of our amazing 1,000+ educators and enhancing the educational opportunities of our 5,000 students. Such opportunities to impact so many lives are rare, and I am enthused and energized by this once-in-a-lifetime chance.
Finally but not least, Ms Zorba has also experience in creating and delivering engaging and interactive technology-based educational content, that is tailored to real-world problems. Her goal is to make the learning process more fun and interactive for students and to help them develop the necessary skills to thrive in the digital age.
